This section presents pictorial journeys to Ancient Synagogues in the diaspora (Ostia, Delos, Sardes) and in Israel (Kiryat Sefer,Capernaum, Masada, Jericho, Gamla, Herodion); to Rome, Ostia and Pompej, locations in Asia Minor and Makedonia (Ephesos, Pergamon, Philippi, Delphi, etc.), on the Peloponnisos (Corinth, Mykene and Epidauros), the Island of Patmos, Mount Athos (Agion Oros), AgiaSofia (here also a short history and presentation of Ecumenical Church Councilsxx), and to Meteora, the monastic community of the rocks.

This website is dedicated to issues relating to origins and expressions of religions, primarily covenant religions. The site belongs to Dieter Mitternacht and divides into three parts that focus 1) on places, 2) on texts, and 3) on practice (primarily in Sweden).
